The weather has made a turn to the higher end of the thermometer!

Along with these warm temperatures comes all sorts of new plant life. I am so excited to get my garden planted and wait for blooms and buds to arrive! However, just as many of those welcomed plants start to grow, other vegetation is growing too. Some of these other plants release new pollens that can cause allergies to affect our sinuses and even our eyes!

Many of you have already started your allergy medications for the congested or runny nose, sneezing, and itching symptoms experienced, but did you know our eyes can be affected from seasonal allergens too? If you are experiencing any ocular itching, watering, or ocular redness out of the ordinary, you may be suffering from ocular allergies. Interestingly, allergies and sensitivities can change over time. You may have terrible allergies one year, and the next, you may not even purchase any antihistamines. Luckily, many times, ocular allergies can easily be treated with over-the-counter eye drops or medications; however, our doctors will guide you to which options may be right for you.
